This one is great.

Lone Survivor by Marcus Luttrell is well worth the time spent reading it. It is difficult to put it down once you start reading it. We must get to know our military heroes, Petty Officer Luttrell is every bit of one. A Navy Seal, PO1 Luttrell, was the sole survivor of a mission into the Afghan mountains. He speaks freely of his faith that sustained him. If you get nothing out of this book but this-it is time well invested-
1) God proved his presence time and time again in sparing this man from a horrible fate.
2) When our nation sends our warriors into combat, we must not tie their hands with rediculous rules of engagement. The enemy we face today does not play by rules and has nothing but
disdain for the fact that we do so. Those rules may have caused some good sailors to die up there in those Afghan mountains.
Thank you Petty Officer Luttrell for your service. Hooyah Marcus Luttell!

Have not read the book, but I did see him being interviewed on a FOX Program, one of those situations that all Americans should be made aware of to open their eyes. There most be so many of these un-told stories out there.

Ollie North does a good job bringing some of it to light. Many in earlier generations grew up knowing who Audie Murphy was. But so few know our current day heroes. Petty officer Luttrell says that those others seals may have surpassed Murphy's record.

It was truly a moving book. The Seals leave no one behind. They recovered the bodies of the other three Seals. Luttrell said the third was 2000 further from where he believed him to have died. And two clips less in his ammo reserve. Even while technically dead-that seal continued to fight and may have taken some Taliban out even after Luttrell counted him dead.
